Philanthropy

Stork specializes in live streaming broadcasts that feature Tennessee high school football, with a primary focus on Rutherford County. Coaches have the opportunity to assess the talent of these athletes and potentially offer them a path to play football at the collegiate level. Stork operates these live stream broadcasts without profit, and the generous sponsorship from John Jones helps cover production costs. By providing free access to view the live streams, Stork demonstrates its commitment to giving back to the community, guided by the motto: ‘It’s all about the kids.’”

Inside the Headset provides coaches with a platform to share insights with fans about their team. The interviews are live-streamed, and each one is subsequently added to the coaches’ playlist that you can find here Current Coaches.

Top of the Tower

Stork initiated a video blog in 2020, where he imparts his perspectives on the wireless industry. You can find these insights on YouTube.

Commencing as a blog in 2006, it subsequently transformed into a vlog in 2010 and persisted until its final episode in 2022. The structure is simple: each episode covers three topics—two related to life, with the third serving as a wrap-up. Archived episodes are on YouTube.

History

In 1998, Scott (affectionately known as Stork) Montgomery’s son, Tyler, embarked on his football journey with the Smyrna Youth Football League. During those exhilarating games, whoever happened to grab the microphone would announce the plays. Recognizing the need for a dedicated announcer, Stork eagerly stepped up and assumed responsibility for the Public Address System during all the games. Jeff Childs, the league president, entrusted Stork with this pivotal role.

From 1998 to 2002, Stork served as the official announcer for the Mid State Youth Football Championship. However, it was in 2002 that he achieved something truly remarkable: calling a record-breaking 71 football games in a single season—a feat that remains unmatched to this day.

Each fall, Stork takes to the digital airwaves, live-streaming high school football games. His play-by-play commentary keeps fans engaged, while Anthony Fiorella provides insightful color analysis. Dean Fox diligently compiles statistics, and Stork’s brother, Sam, delivers area scores. Behind the camera, capturing every thrilling moment, is none other than Stork’s wife—affectionately known as ‘Judy the Beauty.’ After each game, Stork meticulously edits and uploads game highlights to YouTube, ensuring that fans can relive the excitement.

Stork’s camera lens has captured it all: weddings, public speakers, live bands, million-dollar hole-in-one golf shots, fiddling contests, boxing matches, football and baseball games. His extensive collection also features videos related to the communications industry. Beyond the camera, Stork’s focus extends to being the best husband to Judy and the best dad to his children, Tyler and Spencer. But beware if you reach out to Stork—his passion and vision can lead to lengthy conversations that ramble for hours. Running alongside this bird is always an adventure!
